OPVBC 2024-2025 CLUB SEASON
Please read this page carefully as it will affect our ability to properly evaluate your player!
There are 5 IMPORTANT STEPS you must take to be ready to try out for OPVBC!
1.) Find your Age Group on the Chart Below
2.) Find the Time and Date for that Age Group Tryout
3.) Sign Up for OPVBC Tryouts for the Time and Date of your Age Group*
*Please note if you want to tryout for a different age group than what the chart says you are, you need written permission from Club Director Michelle (michelle@opvbc.org). We usually only allow this in special circumstances where age group and school year do not align, or your skill level would best develop elsewhere*
4.) Print out, fill out, and bring to tryouts the two required forms:
PSR Player Participation and Medical Release Form
Concussion Management and Sudden Cardia Arrest Acknowledgement
5.) Get a USA Volleyball Membership*
*If you played club in a USAV program last season, your membership will cover you IF your tryouts are in July. For those trying out in October, you will need to purchase a membership.
Find Your Age Group First!
U11 or younger: Players born July 1, 2013 - or later
U12: Players born July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013
U13: Players born July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012
U14: Players born July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011
There are 3 items you need to tryout for OPVBC besides registering with us.
1.) Junior Volleyball Player Participation & Medical Authorization Form
2.) Concussion Management and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Acknowledgement
In some cases, players that are in a grade level different than most people their age can be granted a waiver to play with their school cohorts, which restrictions on certain travel tournaments. If you are interested in this, please register for the correct age division, then email michelle@opvbc.org with details
